Thanksgiving Culinary Feast - November 25

Spread thanks around the table this year by giving you and your loved ones a Pink Sands’ Thanksgiving Culinary Feast. Join executive chef James Van Dyke and his culinary team for a gourmet treat at the Garden Terrace Restaurant. Toasted walnuts, spiced cranberries and warm brie fondue are among the few that top off fresh greens picked from The Bahamas-owned Goodfellow Farms. Butternut squash bisque or cream of fennel and mushroom warms up the soul. Classic turkey dinner with all the fixings hits the spot, but don’t forget to make room for the decadent red velvet cake with macerated berries and warm crème Anglaise! Gastronomic New Year’s Eve - December 31

Ring in 2011 with elegance and splendor at the Garden Terrace Restaurant with an exclusive party following a five-course gourmet dinner prepared by Executive Chef James Van Dyke and his culinary team. Scrumptious items on the menu include Tuna and Wahoo Checkerboard Sashimi with Sake Cured Cucumber, Crispy Foie Gras Cigar with Parma Prosciutto and Fig Gastrique. Certified Angus Filet Mignon, Poached Lobster Tail, Potato and Herb Crusted Grouper are among the entrée choices. Top off the night with Phyllo Wrapped Camembert Brie with a Tasting of Aged Port. Availability is limited and reservations are required for New Year’s Eve dinner. Seating times are 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Rate is $175 per person which includes dinner and festivities with party favors, Champagne toast, live band and DJ entertainment. Pink Sands Offers Cooking Classes for Resort Guests

Pink Sands Resort now offers a one-and-a half-hour culinary journey of the Bahamas led by Executive Chef James Van Dyke.This is a hands-on course that will immerse guests in the aromatic island ingredients and local recipes, giving them an insider’s look on how they are best prepared. Guests will create their own favorite dishes and learn direction on proper knife skills, a history of the spice trade routes associated with the Bahamas, a history of the cuisine, proper cooking methodology and procedures for breaking down conch and local fish.
